Impact driver or just a cordless drill

I don't notice any difference with general screws, unless they are say 100mm or bigger, in which case an impact does have the edge

Try a regular driver verses an impact fella when firing a screw in above your head or in places where pushing on the driver is difficult, THEN tell us there is no point, eh Woods?

LOL you are going soft. Push man, push!

Could the screws be the problem? ;)

i have just asked about this subject and seen this topic

after reading your replys and opnion's i want to ask; if an impact works on little knocks while screwing and if that is correct then surely putting a regular 18v on hammer and screwing should be the same or have a similar effect??

it maybe a stupid theory , that's what i thought tho.

the impact starts as quick as a normal drill on highspeed and as the load increases it slows down and turns more into a rotary impact so slower speed but greater power

hammer action is nothing like impact as one is rotary [circular] and the other is back and forth

there is no comparason its like comparing a lada sprint with a formula 1 ;)
