Hi Guys,

I need a few questions answered:

1. how many bulk bags of sand do I need for 2000 bricks.
2. how many bags of cement
3. do I new a bottom row of engineering bricks
4. do I need 'brick on edge' to be engineering bricks

Many thanks for all the replies.

Andy

Andy,

1. Two number
2 Get 16 number, pick another couple up if short
3 Should that read, Do I need bottom row engineering bricks.
If so and wall is garden wall, then yes, two course
4 Will last a lot longer than ordinary brick. Ordinary brick will start to
spall after 4 or 5 years.

Hi Oldun,

my wall will be (in total) 12metres long, so how many bricks do I need for the engineering course? (as you say 2 courses high)

Is it best to have curved edge engineering bricks for my brick on edge ?
and how many?

Many Thanks

Andy

Divide 12 by .225. Double for 9 inch work. Double again for two courses.

Multiply the first figure by 3.
Many Thanks

Andy
