Hi

How do I convert the reading from this gas meter in to kWh?

What's the formula?

Do I ignore the numbers in red?

The previous reading was 00100845 and it's £0.1354 per kWh.

Can someone confirm what the bill should be please.

Disregard the last 3 digits and you have used 132 cu mtrs of gas. There are many sites that will convert cu mtrs to kwh.Just google cubic meters to kwh.You need to know the CV of your gas which can be found on your bill.Using one of these sites you have used approx 1500 Kwh.That works out to just over £200. OUCH!!

.You need to know the CV of your gas OUCH!!
Dear sir , I was formed many thousands of years ago , by decaying forests . I now find myself passing through yellow pipes and being used in millions of earthlings homes . There are websites where I cause no end of abuse and squabling over my percieved function . This is my CV. Curriculum Vitae

Oh my what a load of drivel, and I there was I thinking that most members would at least try to help people who post with a genuine problem.Sadly in this case no.

are you shure its not just the first say 40kw at that price to cover the standing charge
i pay 4p-ish per kw off gas

looking at my bill 62cu.m cost me£27.50p that eqates to 0.44356 per cu.m[plus vat at 5%]

i thought the conversion factor was on the back of the bill, not looked at one for years as we do online billing where you input reading and it converts to tell you your next bill
