i was the proud owner of a fiat 131 sport back in the early 80s, fiat racing red was the colour, orange to everybody else, the road holding was exceptional, it didn't roll through corners, it was like a go cart with a 2lt engine, one small problem which fiat remedied with the tipo onwards was the rust, apart from that the best car i've ever owned SDV458X where are you now, and how much do they cost now?

There is a club on the net you could try if you wanted to track down your old car. The normal 131's handled like bath tubs and the bigger one , 132?
How much do they cost now? How much do you not want to spend cos if you have to ask you cant afford it anyway. The abarth's are stupidly expensive but you can pick up the mirafiori cheap enough although most are imports.
i took off the rose tinted glasses, slept on it and did a reallity check, due to the doughnuts on top of the front suspension failing all to often and the diff failed three times, try finding a 131sport (rockin horse ****) in a breakers yard back then, fortunatly the diff fitted to the 1600 super miafiori (common as pig ****) was the same size and gear ratios, so unless fiat do what they did with the 500 i'll leave the past in the past and make do with my fiat scudo, the cement mixer flies in the back of it, oh yeah i forgot to mention, for the weekend i've got my bike, you may have guessed its italian, aprilia mille, they stopped making this model now, will it appreciate in value like the 131 or alpha romeo monteal, time will tell
