Russ Andrews alternative

The ultimate would be Russ Andrews Electrical Supply Company supplying specially filtered mains to houses via a separate network of solid silver cables supplied from gold plated transformers in sub-stations.

The sad thing is that people believe the sales brochure and waste their money.

That's a nice piece of kit.

I think the seller is over egging it a bit though, in fact they are more often used to filter on the way out (rather than on the way in)

Generally referred to as a TEMPEST filter - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TEMPEST

So he is correct that the MoD use them, but I doubt they would be much good to you in a nuclear strike.

So it can't be used for radials?

Not even electricity.

In electrical definitions the correct term is ring final.

If it a ring main then the Oxford English Dictionary states:

"A ring main is an arrangement of pipes forming a closed loop into which steam, water, or sewage may be fed and whose points of draw-off are supplied by flow from two directions. "

I suppose there may be a tap on a transformer....

No, it can't.
However I do have a roll of PVC insulated 2.5mm copper lives and 1.5mm copper cpc going for £25 per metre (down from £53/m) which I can sell you, guarenteed to make not much of a difference to the quality of your stereo system :D
Must be installed by a Part P qualified spark
