I thought the courts had ruled in the banks' favour?

The banking unfair overcharging process is far from over, but certain exceptions in law, are still not seen by the bank, as legal, as justifiable..

The post above seems to refer mainly to mis sold insurance policies, when insurance was already in place..ie go to Comet, buy a TV, buy an extra warranty for 1 year, where the TV already has a one year warranty with the manufacturer, Comet wins.

But to translate that to the banks, is misleading, as there is a court case still in action, as I understand, and will run forever, as, who has the money? Bankers and Solicitors. Maybe that will lead to growth in the economy.

What banks are NOT allowed to do, is to charge repeat charges on overdrafts, so if in credit, even in overdraft, then charge to take you to deficit, then continually take charges, on the charges that they charge. Illegal. There is an act of parliament that bans that. So, if you go 1p overdrawn of your overdraft, they cannot continually add up charges that they charge for you being overdrawn. BUT ONLY IF your circumstances demands it. My partner was in credit, then charged, for nothing that took her into deficit, the balance, I think is over £300..banks are thieves.....I'm pretty sure that someone would associate Theives, with Jews and Egypt, as Jews were the origional money lenders. Theory being that Hitler didn't like other's with money.

I had PPI, I used it.
No worries.

But you already had cover under other laws, so didn't need it, so had two policies, running concurrently....one was illegal, one was legal. If you used a PPI, fine, that's upto lawyers to decide, on a general scale, but generally, your PPI was illegally sold to you, and should have been a default, for which you did not pay an excess for, even if it did pay out, as you had dual insurance payback.

Err, you have no idea of the terms of my policy.
I claimed under one of the terms. It can still be claimed on again if needed.

Also I asked for it, was not pressured.
I will not take extended warranties as I deal with electrical products and know you have a 5 yr warranty because of the EU anyway with major purchases.

Please get your facts right before you spout offf :D

To address the OP. The bank charges furore was about bank accounts, the email you have is regarding credit card charges. This is a separate issue altogether.
