Hi there, just joined up , I would really appreciate some advice please.
We have recently had a replacement Combi fitted, a Grant Vortex Pro 21.
It was fitted by a proffesional company and they did a nice tidy job of it, they were ofcourse being watched over by myself during the day !.
Everything works as should but i have a very annoying issue, After its been running for say hot water usage the burner stops but whilst the DHW pump is still running for the few minutes there are some very annoying sounds, It seems to start in the heart of the boiler and it sounds like a Fart in the bath followed by a Ssshhhh near the heat exchanger, then the cycle will will start again and repeat until the DHW pump cuts out then all is quiet.
On the central heating side of things all is quiet and works well. I did get the guy from the company back out soon after to look at it and he drained it down, fitted a new Larger auto bleed valve to that circuit and then recharged the system, After doing this the embarassing noises are reduced but still there, After spending £2800 i would very much like it to nice and quiet as stated on the manufacturers website !.
Oddly my mum and dad had a Pro26 fitted and this was quiet from the start but recently has started making the same sounds.?
I was told if it doesn't stop the next step would be to put it to Warranty, I would really appreciate any pointers on this issue please if possible ?
Many thanks,
