Hi

My CEL Multi-tool has died (I thik the motor burnt out) after about 14 months.

Should I get another one, or are there any better ones for moderate DIY?

Looking at the reviews on Amazon the Bosch equivalent doesn't seem that reliable, and some of the cheaper ones are no good.

Cheers

No specific budget, but not looking to pay more than £100. So probably won't stretch to a Fein;)

I bought loads of blades for the CEL on special, but as there is now an adapter set, not really a limiting factor.

I prefer corded, rather than cordless.

I have the proper Fein and the cheaper green Bosch version. The difference between them is huge with the Fein winning hands down on cutting ability and build qaulity.

The Bosch feels really light and cheap in comparison and really has to be forced down to cut where the Fein just gluides through.

Green Bosch = Rubbish

That's a good price for the mains version if I had the money would be seriously buying that.
I have the 10.8v cordless but find it eats the battery's very quick when cutting through the tongues on floorboards my main use for the tool.

There is nothing wrong with the bosch geen or blue

Makita are bringing their versions out soon corded and cordless
