So much for the eu and working where you want !

The reality is if you go for a job in France but don't have relatives already working there you wont get a job, although apparently in the eu and free movement of labour is supposed to be enshrined in Law, in reality they keep jobs for the locals and exclude foreigners ............so there !

( from my wife's friend who was looking to re locate there but got the actual low down from a close friend of his whose living and working in France )

why shouldnt they?
maybe we should take a leaf out of their book, i like that attitude, they way they are in australia too, they dont do signs in a foreign language, cause if you need to know something in their country learn their language

of course, the french have always used the EU as their private bank. Only good piece of advice, from them was when DeGaulle, said Non to our entry to the EEC, we should have listened. Why we associate ourselves, with these feckless workshy fops is beyond me, we have plenty of our own workshy fops to deal with.

Australian language?

10% of UK are migrants - it's 22% in Oz.

Who said they were wrong !!!!

Just a dig at the damn silly eu eddifice !

I've got a job in France, but like in the UK, foreigners only get the jobs that the "natives" don't want.

That is not like it is in the UK at all
Foreigners get the jobs here at wages the natives don't want, or can afford to work for.

i didnt mean to imply you disagreed with them, but i was just agreeing that they are right to do what they want, i wish Britain would grow a pair and support what the majority of British people seem to want, im not impressed that my boys primary school dont have a Christmas celebration as it might upset other kids

Britain is exactly the same

If you come over here and don't know any relatives, then you wont get all the benefits. State benefits are supposed to be enshrined in Law, in reality we keep benefits for the foreigners and exclude locals ............so there !

Do your kids learn about other religions Kirk?
In my grand daughters school they 'celebrate' all kinds of different festivals. Which I think is better than excluding them all.

Problem is Conny, your grand daughters school now won't celebrate Christmas (they'll call it Winterfest or summat equally stupid). They won't celebrate Easter, (they'll call it Bunnytide, or summat equally stupid). You'll find that every other religion's festivals are celebrated, but any Christian celebration will be placed firmly on the back burner.

(or will you think I read the Daily Mail too much?)

Probably right John. I know they changed the words to Baa, Baa, Black sheep to Baa, Baa Pink sheep! And it is no longer for the Master and the Dame but the farmer and his wife!

The Aussies are trying to grow their economy with skilled people who have lots to offer. The country seems to be run for the benefit of its inhabitants. When boats full of illegals try to sneak in, they are quietly taken to out of the way areas to await deportation.

The UK on the other hand seems to let a lot of dross in, many of whom seem to be just a drain on the economy and resources. We're full, but still we swallow their sob stories.

Foreign criminals and hook-handed hate preachers wouldn't last 5 minutes in Oz.
