Imagine if some one 'taps in' to that circuit somewhere along the cable run though to feed some other piece of equipment?![]()
So whats to stop another numpty just tapping in and 'assuming' everything is correct?Imagine if some one 'taps in' to that circuit somewhere along the cable run though to feed some other piece of equipment?![]()
Why?? Brown/Black/Grey is used for 3 phase too so is up to the installer to correctly ID what is what. Just utterly pointless to have brown as an additional earth.
That is totally the incompetent fool's fault. So whats to stop another numpty just tapping in and 'assuming' everything is correct?
He taps in assuming he has 3 phase supply. Switches on without testing, (and lets be honest, it does happen!), and suddenly he's fed his equipment on 2 phases and is totally stumped why its not working or working incorrectly.
The only thing I can think of is he's nicked the brown with a knife or saw, and didn't have any heatshrink.
