No to 80mph

Not in the middle lane it isn't. I read that they are going to put averaging speed cameras in.
Good idea.
I'm a tootler me.

However people will still exceed the (70mph) limit Joe. Regular motorway drivers will find a way.

The authorities will not spend trillions mapping out the entire motorway network with ASC's.

Yes Joe, the will.

They only need a handful. No mapping, easier than the average 'A' road.

No they won't unless they use false plates. That would mean a criminal record and jail.

Not at all 'easy' Joe. Consider every exit, every service station etc, then think about your theory.
Revenue will not pay off.

From an economical point of view, not enough lives will be saved.

No brainer.

They have already 'mapped' out the whole Motorway/trunk road system with cameras which know where you are and how long it took you to get from Camera A to Camera B.

All it would take is a change in the law to allow them to use them in court.

I cannot abide 'tootlers' on the roads. They should keep up with the flow or lose their licence. Something also needs to be done about lorries pulling out into the middle lane at 56mph, not sure what, but they are by far the most dangerous drivers as a group on the roads.

I cannot abide 'tootlers' on the roads.
I can not abide speeders who kill children, ho hum.

With whom would you have me keep up with and where exactly? Answer carefully.

P.S. two of my buddies drive emergency vehicles and their underlying policy is "drive to arrive". Wise words.

I disagree I say Yes to 80mph afterall thats how fast I have ALWAYS driven on the motorways.

That would be fine if there was zero tolerance above 80mph. Get a ticket at 81 with average speed cameras. Then all traffic would travel in the middle and outside lane at the same speed - hence no accidents. It's speed differential that's the problem.
