Absolutely speechless.... six years !!!!!!!!

So, by your reasoning then Norcs it is either acceptable to do what Neale did or do nothing at all?

Forget the other things this bloke was imprisoned for and tell us whether you think someone stepping in to protect a woman should go to jail.

Even professional fighters can lose control when roused. But then they are just thugs as well aren't they.

That's like saying...
"forget what Stuart Hazel did to Tia Sharp but tell us why should a caring dad be locked up?"

If you are going to argue a point, at least have the decency to use a modicum of intelligence.

Complete nonsense.
Why should someone who tries to help a woman in distress go to jail?
Just the question. (he won't)

 seriously! I mean seriously? You're better than that surely

Do you think a man who punches/knocks out another bloke out while he is attacking a woman should go to jail. Yes or no.

He shouldn't.

However a man that a judge said...
"if you carry on behaving the way you have over the last few years you will be spending the majority of that future behind bars"....
and a bloke that....
"admitted causing GBH, dangerous driving, assault with intent, attempted burglary, aggravated vehicle taking, and two counts of driving whilst disqualified...

...a bloke like that was lucky that he was only jailed for six years.

I would have thought a lot more.

He's been given 6 years for a few driving offences ffs. Says it all.

The gbh and assault was decking the drug dealer.

I know robbers who steal hundreds of thousands every year and they walk free. I'm hoping their knee capped soon though as they live too close for comfort.
coppers don't want to know.

You seem to have it all wrapped up. I know I can rely on you Norcs.

Norcon, put your hand on your heart and tell me that if the woman had been your wife/girlfriend, daughter, niece etc you would still have the attitude that anyone passing by should have just walked on and phoned the police?

Yes still walk on by.
No point in getting hurt or jailed and then a criminal record for doing the good citizen.
Let the lawmakers sleep with guilty consciences.

That said about those robbers I was referring too.
A few guys I know went to their property a few weeks a ago to recover some equipment.
They recovered their equipment and gave them a slight bruising in the process and the cops in typical fashion were gonna press charges.
Political intervention fortunately got it stopped.
Who says big dumb farm boys can't fight to protect their own?

Let me get this clear.

If I was to intervene to save your wife, (who is a complete stranger to me), from being hurt you would think I had done wrong? Instead, you would prefer her to take a beating rather than a stranger be arrested and face criminal charges?

I was in the bank the other day when an armed robber walked in. After he'd robber the place, he turned to a chap near me and asked " Did you see me rob this bank?" The chap said "Yes", so he shot him. He turned to me and said "Did you see me rob this bank?" I answered,, "Nah, but the wife did."

No, that wouldn't work.

Our lawmakers are MPs, and we all know that they don't have consciences.

He wasn't jailed for protecting a woman. After the threat was neutralised (by him walking over), he continued to strike the guy when he was on the ground, and that is not defending a woman or acting in the heat of the moment, that's bravado and wickedness.

If you put yourself in the situation of the guy stepping in I think you would have done a lot less as a law abiding person, ie once the guy stopped you wouldn't start an assault.

Did you witness the incident?

The drug dealer for all we know may have struck out at the guy.
I was taught in karate to ensure the assailant is disabled. Seems like that was was done.
