How safe are you?

Don't know how you can be bothered with that. Most of it is irrelevant.
Driving is about practical skills. With experience you just hit the "autopilot".

48/50

As suggested, most of the questions are common sense. I was surprised actually at how easy it was. I always thought the theory test was difficult.

48/50.

I'm sure the two I got wrong were something to do with speed and pulling trailers.

Most of the questions, however, are ridiculously simple to the point of being patronising. I should also say that many of the questions are not put into practice by real motorists, including myself!

well ive just got 50/50 on the 1st test, and 47 out of 50 on the 2nd and im getting to be an old fart.

50/50.

One question about motorcyclists but one about being "eco-safe" What a load of ****e.

Yes. Pandering to the eco-warriors again. I'm surprised there isn't a question about windmills in the test. I've often thought it would be a good idea if the driving test (practical or theoretical) were to be based entirely on real life situations.

50/50 on both sets of tests,(car) but why put questions about "green" motoring on? Political correctness creeping into everything these days it seems. (only one question I guessed at was the one about how far back from a broken down vehicle the warning triangle should be placed). I also thought the one about a puncture on a motorway was mis-leading. A newly passed driver might be tempted to phone for the services to come out, instead of changing the tyre themselves (after all, they keep telling us the hard shoulder is the most dangerous place on a motorway, and to stand well away from the hard shoulder off the motorway) I was also surprised that at a road accident, you should check the breathing of the unconscious person first,, when the first thing you should be doing is ensuring your own safety first (don't want to become a victim yourself now,, do you? )

You two 50/50s are my heroes. Meanwhile Norcon is trying to get the key into his tractor - he's being trying to do this for 3 months now

I'm Class 1 licenced with a cpc transport managers license.
Have taken a truck across two oceans and through Europe right to Lusteanau to deliver goods.
That sorts the men from the boys.

Professional drivers are usually the worst.

Had to laugh at the bus stop question, in the highway code or not I never ever let one of those moving roadblocks out in front of me.

The Skando's have a more reliable test system I believe, one that should be implemented here but won't be of course.

43/50.

Managed to scrape a pass though and this was without studying any of the questions. I bet if you got extra bonus points for speed, I would have got 50/50

Ridiculous exam. If this is meant to 'test' our future motorists then Lord help us.

Back to the good old days....

15 minutes into my test, someone walked out into the road and I did the required emergency stop before it was scheduled...

Was the told to drive back to the test centre as I'd passed!

Never got to be asked any road sign questions either :D

Those were the days when boxes could be ticked without 'ticking the boxes'!

We've all heard about 'mirror, signal, manoeuvre', of course.

In my experience, the order is different for bus drivers: 'manoeuvre, signal (sometimes), mirror (doubtful)'.

I must have a look in the highway code to confirm my suspicions.
