Replacing Shed Roof Felt

Hi,

The felt has ripped off our shed roof felt in the wind and I would like to find out the quickest/easiest way to replace it.

I've bought the felt and have found some nails in the garage (like these ones http://www.screwfix.com/p/felt-nails-galvanised-3-x-20mm-0-5kg-pack/17718) but as I'm lazy I'd rather not have to go up and hammer them all in! Are there any cheap nail guns that would take this type of nail? If not, would something like this cheap nailer work (http://www.screwfix.com/p/titan-ttb516nal-25mm-corded-nailer-240v/85214) as it says it comes with and fires 18ga 25mm Nails (are these suitable?)

The galv felt nails have a nice big head so the felt doesn't tear away......you'd get the roof done in 15 mins!
Consider some cold felt roof adhesive to help stick the stuff down......your choice of nail gun is not much use here.

Instead of nails, you could screw it down with wafer head screws. They have a large diameter head like the clout nails, but so much quicker and quieter to install with a cordless drill!

And if you're looking for quick and easy, then buy a sheet of EPDM rubber and adhesive instead of felt. You can get single sheets big enough for any shed size, so you only need to screw it down round the perimeter. Shed felt nowadays is so cheap/thin and doesn't cover even a small shed in one sheet, so you'll have a join where the weather will try and get in and it'll need re-doing in a couple of years time!

Just check the thickness of the shed roof timber before choosing what length wafer head screws or you'll have screw tips poking through the inside.
