The house at the moment is a shell so we have decided in our wisdom to rewire it ..There is no plaster on the walls and no ceiling and no central heating pips anywhere so happy days for an easy install

Can anyone recommend a sparky in Newcastle Upon Tyne that would like to work in such an easy environment

There will be no specail requests or can you justs ( love them eh ) just the basic job with plenty of double sockets

Is the supplier's equipment in good order? - Is there a DNO Isolator provided at the mains position? - Is it a TT earth, that warrants a special and expensive treatment?

The first two are valid points, but not really a big deal as they'll be sorted for free, the latter, you might need to ask very nicely.

And if you're lucky, if they come to do item one or two, they might sort out item 3 for you whilst they're there - for free.

If not, unless it's in a particularly poor state of disrepair, I wouldn't call a TT installation particularly 'expensive' to rewire

If you are installing a piped wet central heating system and hot/cold water where pipework will be installed within the ceiling/floor/wall voids. I would suggest this is done prior to the electricians cabling. Especially if the pipes are to be soldered!

That's if the plumber even uses copper for the majority of the install. Too many just use plastic now

That was why I mentioned the above and obviously gas pipework would not be plastic, so there would be very likely heat applied to those joints.
But even if plastic pipes were used, it would not avoid damaging of cable or un-securing of cables, whilst these are being pulled through and installed.
I have noticed in the past that some plumbers are a little retarded when it comes to being bothered about other services that are present and most don't understand the requirements of part A of the building regulations.

I did once come across an installation where the gas engineer or his apprentice, had routed a 35mm gas pipe directly in front of the consumer unit, the outcome was not only could you not open the visor, you could not even take the front cover off.
Wish I had taken a photo!
