UK PM Theresa May announces plan to call snap general election on 8 June

If you were so great, you wouldn't be sat where you are now, jacking off on GD, while the object of your scorn is being Prime Minister.......
But we cannot all be PM. There is only 1!
We cannot all be politicians even. Those places are limited.
If we were all politicians there would be nothing of any value to argue over.

But it does not mean that we are denied an opinion!

Bob Rotella (psychologist) told a story about an clinic hosted by Jack Nicklaus.
(You'll have to forgive the exact detail, as the book is on a shelf that I am nowhere near).
Jack said that he'd never missed a putt inside of four feet on the final green, to win a major.
A guy in the audience took umbrage with Jack on this particular "fact", even offering to send a video to prove him wrong in his recollection.
Jack declined the offer.

Afterwards, the questioner asked Bob why Jack had totally forgotten (or mislead himself) on the missed putts.

"What is your handicap?", Bob asked the questioner.

"16. Why?"

"Why do you think that the greatest golfer who has ever lived, should think the same way that a 16 handicapper should?"
And the moral of this story is............
I do not know. Lost in bragidear's tortuous logic somewhere?

So by your logic, because TM has changed her mind over two extremely important points, and we cannot trust her word on anything, it makes her the greatest PM who has ever lived?
She has only been PM for about 10 months, and all we have seen so far is prevarication, nonsensical comments (Brexit means Brexit:rolleyes:), u-turns and cynical moves!

I am glad that some of us do not think like TM, or yourself for that matter.

It's all fine though. If you earn £70k/year you are RICH and will pay yet more income tax.

"I am glad that some of us do not think like TM, or yourself for that matter."

"It is sad that the discussion was going along quite nicely until someone spoiled it, with petty insults"

I was thinking of two days ago and much earlier today.

How about you, John Delete, and Whatever-the-alias-is-this-week? ;)
If TM thought like JD or DC, she'd be......JD or DC.
As it is, she's PM.
Enough said.

Your conceit is your weakness.

Perhaps my memory is far better than yours.

I'd much rather have a politician that's prepared to change their mind, as circumstances change, rather than one who dogggedly holds on to their opinions regardless. We've seen many an exasperating example on here of those who won't back down no matter what you try and show them.

"I was thinking of two days ago and much earlier today."

I doubt that, or you'd have posted within seconds of the original.

Seven effing weeks of politics and politicians and we've only just had a bellies filled with Brexit.

Oh Lordy. Dull does not even come close.
Ha, but they are entwined. 7 weeks of politicians and brexit and then another helping of brexit woes to follow.
Happy days

as circumstances change

Circumstances, eh?

Did we have a new referendum that changed the result? No.

Did we have a General Election that changed the party in power? No.

Have we changed the Constitution? No.

Did somebody elect a new Prime Minister? No.

Does Brexit still mean Brexit? Yes.

What are the circumstances that were announced in September, that have been announced to be different today?
