"Justice for Grenfell?"

"Gross Negligence Manslaughter?"

I'm sure you agree that such sentiments strike at the very heart of Parliamentary democracy.

Hold your poster up

"No Justice here!"

"Gross Negligence is OK!"

"Down with Political Motivation!"

Justice for Grenfell?

Define it, please.

- Those responsible being held to account? - A criminal investigation by the police? I think we have that
- A Public Inquiry independent from the constraints of an inquest to get to the bottom of all the lessons to learn? - I Think we have that.
- An emergency fund to help those affected - yep we have one of those too.

What else can you think is needed? right now.

Justice for Grenfell?

I don't have to, it's not my poster.

But you say you disagree with it.

I don't.

The emergency fund you mention has not been distributed yet, so it's too early for a tick in your box.

The enquiry has not started, never mind issued a report. Who knows if the report will be acted on?

Perhaps some Lynch mob petition would be the order of the day  :?:

Send in a few politicians with no security to run the gauntlet  what about any one working at the council offices  draq them out & lynch em

and any one else associated with the incident .

any one wearing a pair of shoes , trousers , or a suit that was bought for more then £100 0r £200 lynch them

any one associated with the incident that owns there own house sling em out & lynch them as well

Guilty till proven innocent is the order of the day ;)

Let's look at the Lakenal fire for a guide.

"After six people died in a tower block in Lakanal House in Camberwell, south London, on 3 July 2009, the professionals working in social housing said - don't let's forget about this. Don't let the increased focus on increased fire safety in tower blocks die. There was a real worry that would happen."

"Reports into a previous fire at Lakanal House in Camberwell, south London in 2009, in which six people died, and a subsequent coroner’s report led to urgent calls from the fire sector for action. But seven years later those calls had still not been acted on and a long-awaited review of building and safety regulations had not even begun. In October last year Barwell answered a parliamentary question from the Labour MP Steven McCabe about the review timetable.

Barwell replied saying: “We have not set out any formal plans to review the building regulations as a whole, but we have publicly committed ourselves to reviewing part B [the regulations governing fire safety] following the Lakanal House fire.”

"Gavin Barwell, the Prime Minister’s new chief of staff, failed to give the go-ahead to a safety review during his tenure as housing minister, despite it already having been delayed for years.

His predecessor as housing minister Brandon Lewis declined to bring in regulation forcing developers to fit sprinklers because he said it was not the Government's responsibility."

Hmmmm, probably not.

"not the Government's responsibility."

What is missing from the current regulations that would have applied to this building?

"Sorry mate, no idea if we've got any survivors or bodies matching that description. No lists.

Several of those enquiring were told that all details were confidential, and couldn't be given out. Far too much reliance on the data protection act, even when there's no data to protect.

And as to Ealing council taking over, now where did I read that the coordination had been handed over to Red Cross. No question though, K&C council have proved themselves useless, and there should be resignations, but I can't see it happening.

I'm sure Theresa will be the first to explain that she has no responsibility for fire safety, or building regulations, or firefighter resources, or police numbers, or local authority spending, or disaster planning

Actually, no. Fire safety is down to the Fire service to manage, and then the LA to enact. Not sure about building regs, but the rest was down to Osbourne.

poor old Kensington and Chelsea saved £2 per panel by getting the flammable ones. Total about £5k on the building. Got to be frugal, eh?

The Times reports that:

So, Frugal apart from things like the opera.

Hawk. I think you have been drinking the Tory kool Aid. Government finances are not personal finances. The issue of money - well we can tax the oligarchs, end PFI, cut tax loopholes for non doms - there's your money.

You don't get it, the TRUE government ARE the oligarchs. ''Give me control of a nations money supply, and I care not who makes it's laws'' - Amschel Rothchild

It's important to a neofascist like hawkey to view the fire victims as in some way "different".

Then he can luxuriate in hating and despising them, and create a fantasy where they were guilty of causing their own suffering.

This is exactly what you and carrottop do with your constant virtue signalling.

I'm sure Theresa will be the first to explain that she has no responsibility for fire safety, or building regulations, or firefighter resources, or police numbers, or local authority spending, or disaster planning.

it was only after resident representatives had battled to meet her in Downing Street that she asserted that there would be £5500 per family so they could put themselves back on their feet.

I hear some of them are getting £10 a day, and have been put in hotels that provide only breakfast. It will be a while before they can move on from a toothbrush, tampons, comb and shampoo, and start buying socks and underwear.

Meanwhile heaps of donations lie unattended in the council offices.

There were people who thought that their gifts of children's clothes toys and babies' bottles would help parents lucky enough to still have living children. Instead they were heaped up and abandoned in the council garage. Not even sorted.

I'm sure Bernard can explain that this is perfectly acceptable.

I'm sure you would rather it be thrown out of a hot air balloon. Come on John get a grip FFS

+ more virtue signalling

I suspect uninsurable, starting with renewals due today.

If not earlier
