Winners from weak Pound
  • UK exporters who will be more competitive.
  • Until the supply chain tariffs, border delays and supply chain cost increases affect production in this country

  • Winners from weak Pound
Foreign tourists coming to UK (a little ironic given context of Brexit vote!)
  • You think that Brexit is counter-productive then?

  • Winners from weak Pound
Foreign investors who find British assets/housing cheaper.
  • They are not likely to invest in a country that is becoming less competitive. We have already seen a reduction in investment.

  • Winners from weak Pound
UK firms who earn profits abroad. (e.g. firms who have investments in the US)
  • Incorrect, they will get less pounds for their dollars/euros/other foreign currency.

Losers from weak Pound

  • Foreign firms exporting to UK (e.g. Irish farmers hit by fall in Sterling)[/quote]
  • Incorrect. They get more pounds for their dollars/euros/etc.

  • Losers from weak Pound
Foreign workers in the UK. Working in the UK is relatively less attractive (could reduce incentive for net migration to the UK
  • So you think market forces have more effect on migration than government policies? Well I never!

Huh ? I remember it . Posted a link in case others didn't recall it , not interested in his apology in the article after the event
. Showed his attitude at the time and the mess with the economy that labour left. Hence austerity was needed

What was this mess?

As to the response - Austerity as implemented by Osborne its effects on society, wage growth can all be seen.

I think more the point is here. As much as the note was crass, it was true. For once a politician telling the truth.

You do know it was supposed to be a joke like in 1965 the note left by the Tory Chancellor Reginald Maulding for his successor Jim Callaghan that said "good luck old cock, sorry to leave it in a mess".

The Government could always start a war with Russia that should that should take people's minds off their problems for awhile.

We could always have a socialist government in power.

Then we could all be rich like those living in Cuba.

Can you define your understanding of socialism because you keep trotting this old argument out.

Its Its usually the argument of those without a clue what capitalism, socialism, mixed economies are. But you may not be one of those. o_O

Can you expand on Corbyns praise of Fidel Castro as a champion of social justice?

Can you expand on Corbyns praise of Fidel Castro as a champion of social justice?

So you can't define socialism then.

I have no need to expand on his personal opinions, however your definition of socialism is germaine. I take it you are implying that Labour under Corbyn would turn the UK into a socialist state like Cuba?

I have no need to expand on his personal opinions

Personal opinions LOL

To suggest that is a personal opinion and not a deeply ingrained political ideology sums you up really........

No I didnt think you would want to answer.
