Maybe I have got it wrong. Are there border controls between every country in the EU?
I thought it to be a little like crossing from Canada to the US.
Guard says "are you a Canadian Citizen" I say "yes" he's says "Have a nice day"

There most certainly are checkpoints between Canada and US.

I did it once on a Greyhound bus, everybody got checked, passports out......

1 lady was South American, they didnt like that, she got taken away and interviewed for a fair while.

I have Canadian and American Cousins.

I lived in Canada, at the weekends Me and my Cousin and my Dam Malaysian mate would would go Club Exit and The Late show in Buffalo. then home in the morning.

Used to stay in the Holiday Inn.


Many a time I would put on a Canadian accent and say Yes I am Sir.

It was cheap. Back in student days. Montreal to Port authority bus terminal NY.

It was back in the days when NY wasnt a safe place.
