I was watching this YT vid of an alleged faulty meter.

At 1:50 there is a comment that seals have been cut and cables installed to blocks.

Whether or not this is true, IDK. Also, according to a comment, it is displaying "rEd" because of this. However, the complaint is that the meter continues to register consumption after the iso adjacent has been turned off. So is it a faulty meter or a faulty iso?

And surely the meter would not display "rEd" because of something drawing current upstream of it?

Haven't watched the video.

I believe it is Reverse Energy Display when, e.g., solar is feeding in.

There does but I thought SS didn't know what red meant.

Why hasn't the 'electrician' followed it up and told us the outcome?

According to the video it was isolated at the cu and the isolator. Also he posted on the comments that British gas came and eventually sorted out 12 months later. Do they could start charging for electric again. The delay was due to it having a warden alarm connected to it that they didn't want to disturb.

So all the talk of nicking electricity via those tails coming off the head was rot!

No, but to me the additional tails from the head look quite kosher. Do you think they look dodgy?
