Unfortunately the committed Brexiteers, such as professional comedian and self-publicist Buffoon Johnson, and Dickensian re-enactor Rice-Pudd, have failed to come up with any proposal at all, not even one as bad as Theresa's. They've had two years, and not come up with anything. What chance of them coming up with something better by October?

The referendum was called for purely selfish political reasons, thus a second referendum could be called similarly.
If quitters believe that a one off vote is the 'will of the people' and that's that, then by that logic they should be calling for no further Elections!
People can and do change their minds - especially when politicians make a total balls up!

People voted to buy something in a sealed box, relying on the descriptions of the content given by buddies of the vendor.

The vendors have run away now, and as we start to unwrap the box we are discovering that it doesn't contain what they promised us.

You say we are obligated to buy it, even though the price has gone up and the thing inside the box is not what we were told.

I say we aren't.

You are not obligated to buy a house when the survey tells you it is built out of cardboard and is floating on quicksand.

It’s not called general referendum where every few years we revote to stay in or leave the EU. So it’s a bit silly to compare it to the general elections.

The vote was to leave the EU so that needs to be completed. If it is not completed then it makes a shambles of voting in general.

Because it did not go some people’s way we need to keep voting until it does? what kind of message does that show. Regardless of what I wanted I would accept the majority vote and that was to leave the EU.

The UK does not have any constitutional rules for how referenda should be run.

Maybe it should have, and maybe it should have established them before the last one.

However, it does recognise the Supremacy of Parliament (except that Parliament has agreed, as regards Brexit, that whoever happens to be in government can rule by decree)

So usually, Parliament could set the rules for future referenda according to its whim.

Currently, whoever is in power at any particular moment can set the rules according to its whim. For example that might be a government led by Theresa, or Jeremy, or Boris, or Nichola, or the C Hunt, or anyone else.

I was never in favour of Theresa's Henry VIII clause, but the Tories and the RW press were, so we're stuck with it.

Good luck with that after the next General Election.
