Funny that, Having stripped out a load of slimy imperial cable (and 3/0.044 at that!!) a little while ago I was talking to others and they said it was a 70's problem, my experience says it was earlier so I guess it was going on for a long time.

Yeah 1965 was definitely imperial. I'm guessing by 1971 we had changed to metric, I was certainly installing it at school prior to July 1972
