We've probably all heard about the school girl who ran away to join ISIS and now wants to come home. I must admit, I can't make my mind up. On the one hand she was a vulnerable child when she left and we should help her, on the other she is an unrepentant jihadi bride.

help her, prosecute her or let her lay in the bed she created?

I just saw her on the cover of a paper. I wouldn’t let her back if it were upto me.

Get her back, and prosecute her.
Change the law if need be, so that she (if necessary) never tastes freedom again.

She's "our" dross, so we shouldn't inflict her on Syria.

One of three schoolgirls who left east London in 2015 to join the Islamic State group says she has no regrets, but wants to return to the UK.

In an interview with the Times, Shamima Begum, now 19, talked about seeing "beheaded heads" in bins - but said that it "did not faze her".

Straight away the BBC try to appeal to your moral compass by calling her a 'schoolgirl' despite being 19 and not actually regretting what she has done.

Speaking from a refugee camp in Syria, she said she was nine months pregnant and wanted to come home for her baby.

Oh so now it suits she is a 'refugee'?

The Home Office have said anyone returning under such circumstances should expect to be investigated by the police - frankly she should be investigated at the door before then being turned away I think.

Even if she did end up in nick it's more burden the tax payer could do without.

She said that seeing her first "severed head" in a bin "didn't faze me at all".

"It was from a captured fighter seized on the battlefield, an enemy of Islam.

"I thought only of what he would have done to a Muslim woman if he had the chance," she said.

"I'm not the same silly little 15-year-old schoolgirl who ran away from Bethnal Green four years ago," she told Mr Loyd.

"I don't regret coming here."

So stay.

Hadn't noticed this thread, could a mod merge the one I've started.

Difficult one for the authorities - if she has not committed any offences not a lot can be done- being effin stupid is not a crime in itself. If she has proven connections to known terrorists that is a different matter.

Accessory to murder is however, a crime.

There is a plan to make it a criminal offence under the terrorism act for “Entering or remaining in an area designated as a terror risk by the home secretary".
(albeit not retrospective)

That is of course just allowing indiscriminate pronouncements of which area is politically expedient at any given time...

Funny how the UK is complicit in terrorist actions in the Yemen, but it's apparently not a problem simply because we are supplying huge amounts of weapons and intelligence to those who just happen to be some of our biggest arms buyers!

We've also got the ludicrous situation of UK citizens going to fight for 'our side' in various 'terrorist areas' but also accused of being terrorists...

Consistency is required!

If complaining about government foreign policy is anti-UK, I suspect we are all guilty of it.

Ya make ya choices in life and live with the consequences. She shouldn't be allowed to set foot in this country again.

Oh look, notchy's record has stuck again...

Of course we must be sympathetic as it must be difficult for him not having the wherewithall to question anything he is spoon fed!
