Brexit is not the will of the people, it never has been

I couldn't give a flying crap whether we stay or leave. Makes no odds to me. I voted leave because of the holier than though attitude of posters like Himi, John D, Sir Glanshead etc. Have to say though, I thought leave meant leave, tear up any existing deals and start again.

We REALLY don’t know anymore now than we did at the voting stage. Fake news, outright lies and scaremongering from all sides are seeing to that. Divide and conquer will keep the “elite” at the top whatever happens.

Some of us knew what was at stake before the referendum...

Quitters told us they also knew exactly what they were voting for, and yet not one quitter has put forward a single direct benefit of leaving the EU...

No surprise there!

You mean “Some of us think we knew what was at stake”.
Unless you can see into the future you can’t “know” whats gonna happen. Even the so called experts are at loggerheads proclaiming they’re right.

Nope, experts agree:

Irish border = not solved
WTO = not a suitable alternative current situation
Damage to economy = all predictions give negative figures, only diffs are by how much
Damage to economy so far = £66b

Of course you might be able to give me alternatives, like Minford or European Research Group........but they aint experts

But who are these so called experts ? Mostly just some Johny come lately’s looking for their 15 minutes of fame. Then they’ll skulk off back in the shadows when they’re proven wrong. I’m sure those same “experts” predicted the end of the world if we didn’t join the Euro

Notch you have failed to answer my question and basically deflected. This is very typical of remoaners

Ok, lets take your exact point: the ballot paper said leave or stay.....right?

Mmmm, so if you want to argue such a simplistic approach, heres the answer:

1. The referendum was advisory so could be ignored. It became law when A50 was voted for -and there was no talk then of no deal whatsoever.

2. Every vote in every election has just a tick box for a party. The party that you vote has a manifesto. That is what you vote for.

3. On June 23rd 2016 Britain voted to exit the EU based on the promises set out by the Leave campaign. Those promises didn’t include crashing out of the union without a withdrawal agreement, they didn’t include having no transitional period or immediate imposition of trade barriers

I understand you want questions answered directly, so I am sure you will want to give a direct response to the above

Now put yourself in a leavers shoes

Mmmm, so I shall put my self in Leavers shoes.

'I am now a leaver, me and all my fellow leavers cant agree on what Brexit we want, we dont care about finding any solutions to leaving, the only argument we can engage in is: we voted out we must leave.'

'We dont care about going to a place with no trade arrangements'
'We dont care that Leavers have no solution for the Irish border (apparently we do have a solution, but we cant tell you whst it is).'

Ha ha ha ha ha ha.

You are getting confused.

Heres an expert: The WTO's current Director-General is Roberto Azevêdo

Is he a Johny come lately?

He is head of the WTO, he knows the facts about leaving with no deal.
You are welcome to find your own experts that are experienced in negotiating trade deals.

Unfortunately thats all Leavers have in their armoury.

As you will notice, I did not say doomed: exaggerating to infinity is a basic dishonest debating technique to trivialise the argument.

Do you have anything serious to say about the benefits of leaving?
