Agree with the cold (crisp) buttered toast.
I like my bread sliced very thin, so it goes very crisp. Either that, or put it in a low oven and cook it through so it's crispy right the way through.
Love Marmite. Never tried Vegemite, but wouldn't say no.
Always loved PB and Marmite together BUT...it has to be crunchy PB.
Another favourite of mine is Crunchy PB and marmalade!
Mind you, not had that in ages.
Loved having Bovril during the BSE crisis - it was cow-free.
I remember having some on toast when I was about 5 (when I wasn't veggie) and it was to die for!
