That is believed to be bats isn't it? Not eels.
Lol....eels bats kangaroos giraffes....5G pylons....Some would struggle to spot the difference, but if snapchat/facebook says 5G gives off COV 19 then it must be Fact.

Jonbey stop looking over there look here, answer the question, where was the epidemic before Wuhan? Where did the first chinese person catch it? Or you saying it was from one of our fish markets?

It's not specifically a fish market. The wet part more relates to what the CIA are said to use at times - kill. A wet job.

Instead of your butcher providing you with say some lamb a wet market if needed would grab a live lamb kill it and butcher it on the spot. The same sort of thing goes on all over the place with what might be called wild animals. Domestic ones as well, even those that might be seen as pets elsewhere or even sheep etc if they breed them.

China initially thought it could only be caught in the wet market and like all science type when involved took some time, not long actually to prove it was transmitted between humans. The come analysis but have they got the right virus - release data when they are sure they had. They need to be precise otherwise no one would take any notice especially the WHO or specific other countries for that matter. They didn't hope it would go away eg Trump. Surprised he didn't say it will mutate - one did from memory. Think it was chicken flu. Later called bird flu. This one could just be a random variation on another from bats or even one that just happens to be about and harmless.

I must be thick...not the foggiest idea what you mean.

Marxists!
Lefties!
Anti western apologists!

Don't people get tired of being silly?

Sadly no - probably doesn't even know who are in it. Anyway he's cut his funding by 15%, looks good and intended to bend them to his will. America does a lot of that one way or the other. Foreign aid is only one of them.

:) Forgot he'd probably like the WHO to be in the USA and full of Americans.

I think the issue is. Wearing a mask can increase the risk of infection.

there are 2 issues with masks. firstly a persons breath makes a mask damp and that can allow the virus to pass through more easily.

the main issue though is that masks are only really useful as single use items. Its its difficult to use a mask a 2nd time and avoid cross contamination

there is a belief that South Korea may have reduced the spread by mass use of masks, however Im not sure its proven.

Masks can help to prevent somebody that is infectious from spreading it. when my niece does a scan on somebody that could have it, both her and the patient wear masks.

Also masks have a psychological benefit -they remind people to not touch their face.

Whoops odd - the brief wasn't in the listings but the run up is on now.

A wet market is a marketplace selling fresh meat, fish, produce, and other perishable goods as distinguished from "dry markets" that sell durable goods such as fabric and electronics
In this case I believe it's a market where animals are kept alive and either sold alive or killed for you at the point of sale. The 'wet' there is the blood that gets splashed about.

Technically any British farmers market could be described as a 'wet market' and they're only really dangerous in the range of unnatural cheese flavours they sell.

Where does the CIA come in?

Not sure the viruses are rife there, just happens that it was caught there. But sounds like they are reviewing these markets now.

This could just as easily been started in a chicken farm, by somebody hunting, in a pet shop, zoo, petting farm ... lots of places and practices that we agree with can lead to the animal to human jump of a virus, so don't be too quick to blame the Chinese for their markets.

It's very unfortunate, and tragic, but not deliberate or planned. And could happen anywhere!
The link between these markets and disease is clear.

It isn't only China that is at fault by the way.

Not for preventing spreading - the main thing there is that people don't swap masks. There is a theory that it does help. China out of lock down looks to be still insisting on people wearing them when going into buildings but needn't outside. The WHO are re examining it. I

I wonder how much Philip Green, the Barclay brothers, Richard Branson, and Murdoch donate?

Oooops - my mistake - they're asking the rest of us to chip in for them.

Some governments don't collect as much tax as you might expect, and spend less.

See above.

No doubt he'll be lending a hand.

How much tax does he pay?
