I don’t blame you tbh. I’m thinking of jacking in my job, but not going self employed. There’s a young vendor in my town who’s thriving currently. Go for it, imo.

Our local farm shop have been free delivering , also taking their vans to hospital/ambulance and fire stations plus other key working areas for staff to buy from van.
Also the price & high quality has been maintained, we used to buy a few items from the farm when passing, now they are delivering all out fruit & veg are no supplied and there is a noticeable difference in the prodcut quality, this for me is key, as the quality is higher, i will continue to purchase from the farm shop locally after the lockdown is over, probably increasing my spend to them by 3 or 4 fold over before the lockdown.
and if they continue the delivery , then even more likely to continue 100%
I also like that if the wholesaler price goes to high, they won't buy and pass on , what they consider overpriced or exploting items, so they seem to be able to bring some pressure onto the wholesalers.

SO, for me Quality and good value for money is key. Free Delivery may play a part
You may want to look at the competition and see what they offer.
Friends of ours have bought into the box's of in season fruit & veg before the lockdown, and that has increased also increased amoungst friends and relatives. BUT I prefer to be able to email the list of what i specifically want.

She past her test over 20 years ago. She's not confident. After a while I brought her a brand new Automatic Mini Cooper.

She used to drive her route to work and back... That's it...

In Australia we would go for a long drive Saturday's and Sundays. She would drive our Honda for mile after mile until we got to a town then I'd have to take over.

Unfortunately I don't think it will happen.

Thanks Chris. I like what I do but as I'm getting older I don't want to roll around dirty floors and slogging my gutts out.

I known people who used to just deliver potatoes .........you wouldn't believe the wads of cash they had !

At the moment as I write milkmen are having massive increases in their milk rounds including spuds and eggs, whether this will be the case after the lockdown ends who knows. My wife produces roundsbooks, summarys and reciepts for them........they earn a good living.

Hello All. I've now done a Recce. Went Covent Garden last night. Got home a boy 20 to 4. Strange experience.

Never the less a valuable experience. Produce is pretty good so I'm going to deliver a few samples to possible customers. Will he great to get some feed back...

Looks good @Bodd, only thing that might put people off, is if you show them the produce next to your tools, especially if near any drain clearing equipment
