Give Boris Some Credit

It begins. I did say the Tories are known to eat their own. Sadly Bojo will not last this Parliament.

The House Magazines are turning against him.

  • Mail: "Boris Johnson's big lockdown speech descends into farce"
  • Express: "Boris Johnson delivered his long-awaited speech on how the UK plans to reopen from its coronavirus lockdown, but for many it created more questions than it answered."
  • Telegraph: "Boris Johnson was left struggling under Keir Starmer's detailed and fair scrutiny"
  • Spectator: "Boris Johnson’s confusing lockdown rule change"
  • Sky News: "Johnson to give more detail on 'unclear' and 'confused' lockdown easing plan"

They hope he will carry all the blame away from them.

Never mind, he still has filly's undying support.

He does have my support John, and the majority of the voting public's support. Hurts doesn't it?

Does he? According to YouGov he was 34% favourable and 47% negative views of him. Although that might be from before Covid-19 arrived.

Do you have any recent polls to support your assertion? Or are you mistaking the Tory party getting the most seats for getting the majority of votes?

Well yes, your link, I certainly don't disagree with your link which shows Boris with the highest approval ratings in a decade?

It's slid since last month and keir Starmer might even be on a one point lead which I'd put down to a honeymoon period for him and frustration over the pandemic. Next month the ratings will not doubt be different again.

If he's really as bad as you and JohnD suggest, why doesn't whatever party you support call a motion of 'no confidence' and sweep into power to save us all?

Sympathy and rallying behind the PM. Already dropping. Heck even Trumps ratings went up temporarily and he's doing everything he can to kill off his voters.

Although I have been responding as if you'd said approve, rather than support. I'd support his efforts if I could, not because I trust him, like him or believe he's doing well, but because anything else might get me killed. Especially as I don't trust him and as I believe he's doing a poor job.

The parliamentary democracy 17.4 million voted for.

Ministerial code they’ve broken more than once.
Government by slogan and spin. Unelected SpAds making policy.
Bypass scrutiny by avoiding Parliament.

Not at all.One can start a goal from numerous start points and achieve the same objective.
not true

a government voted in on their ability to lie and spin......only have the skills to lie and spin

that is why we have a PM totally lacking in any ability to govern.

strawman

FPTP has voted in a govt with a minority of votes, but a big majority.
there is no democracy

but you carry on being an apologist for a government that has killed the most people and continues to lie and deceive.

fillys poll is a month old. How the mighty have fallen - off a cliff. Poor old BHS.

Fellow European leaders laughed at him before. They are pi$$ing themselves at his poor showing regards Covid. Sick man of Europe.
