I'm sure there is a sizable population in America, that could answer that question in many ways.

I'm thinking it could go horribly wrong in America any time soon. The Black community really is marginalised there, and the police have very publicly just killed one of their community for all to see. Due to Covid they are about to hit record unemployment numbers, and there has just been over 100,000 deaths both of which will have been disproportionately felt within the BAME community. And all this all happening at a time when we have the most idiotic president in the history of planet earth doing his best to wind everyone up, and all at a time when the weather forecasts are predicting a heat wave. And on top of all that the country is a wash with guns and ammunition.

What could possibly go wrong ?

In the US, during the Great Depression, BAME employees were sacked and replaced by white employees.
The BAME population suffered far worse than the white population during that time.

Doing essential jobs is not "flouting the rules".

However, a guy (Muslim) was getting pelters last week on R5L, because of what he was saying in interview.
He admitted that he and his family would all be getting together to break their Ramadan fast - "my mother's samosas are unbeatable"

He also said that he'd fallen out with a neighbour he'd been on good terms with for twenty years, because they'd grassed him for having a family do in their garden during lockdown.

I don't know what he did for a job, but if he did a higher risk one, he's putting all of his rellies at risk too.

was not particularly blaming anyone, the Gaurdian article suggest that one community may be flouting the laws more than another (I am presuming the police fines are fair?) and was wondering if that could also be part of the reason that community were having higher incidents of Covid. But you are correct in that community also has more front facing jobs that will also lead to higher incidents of covid. It is far from a clear picture into the real reasons bame are suffering more.

There is more info about now. Need to read SAGE minutes etc. The categorise some as black. Very quick looks as lots too look at but what it seems to show is that this group are far more likely to die during prolonged treatment after around 30 days. Other categories are white, asian and other.

must say I thought your post was fair comment, there is certainly many comparisons to be made between ourselves and the US, although I would think bame are treated worse in the US, and the situation is not improved by trump.

You’re lucky - I seem to get EVERY post of mine deleted if there’s ever any hint of a bullshitting person on here who claimed to have booked their one-way flights and a container for their belongings and made arrangements to leave the UK but are still here. I too was merely commenting on the similarities between that person and the fantasist known as Billy Liar. That person doesn’t mind the mods getting involved when I mention it. In fact, I wouldn’t mind betting that person asks the mods to get involved.
