Thinking about replacing my guttering and down pipes while ive got scaffold access to all of it.
currently got marley guttering and down pipes that's about 30 yrs old and to be fair it is not leaking. Just looks fairly faded from sun exposure

Just wondering what the better brands are in terms of durability?

For example ive read about brackets being very brittle and snapping in cold weather.

Been looking at the flow plast stuff from screwfix which seems to have fairly decent reviews.

Are they all more or less similar these days or are there brands beast avoided?

Cheers

Can you actually buy named brands nowadays? I remember Osma, Marley, hunter, terrain (?) etc but not sure if they’re still around. Remember osma being decent. Guess Marley still make it but can’t remember seeing them at any merchants recently, all seems to be polypipe/floplast type. It can’t be that bad tho as it’s used all the time.
I also seem to remember you could get guttering in dark green back in the day, but I may have totally made that up

Keyline if it is in your area sells Marley, Osma is available at one merchant I've been to in central Scotland. Flopast is good quality, I use it on most of my jobs

Marley used to need a special tool to make a notch for the joints - Hunter needed pliers to get the gutter into the joints - Osma was decent, lasted from 70's on a house I did in the village ;) They just changed it from grey to black 30 years or so later. Never seen green though:unsure:
