Fewer Coronavirus deaths than first thought.

Well, my only personal experience of a 'Covid’ death was my daughters boyfriends grandfather. He was 103 years old, went in hospital with breathing and heart related problems and died. He was tested twice while in there for Covid - results were negative but the boyfriend told me that ‘Covid related illness' was on the death certificate. So it looks like he was a 'Covid’ death. I wonder how many more like him there were?

I said at the beginning that a lot of deaths attributed to Covid actually weren't as a result of Covid, just that the deceased tested positive at the time. A lot of 'expected' deaths were classed as Covid when the patient had no hope of recovery from their terminal illness anyway, whilst some 'non-terminal but very seriously ill' people who contracted Covid actually lived longer than expected and in a few cases survived completely beyond all expectations.

Lots. If Bojo died from a heart attack next week, that would be recorded as a covid death because he tested positive some months back.
Highest number of deaths in europe?, bollix.
No it wouldn't, not now.

If he'd died three days ago he'd have been recorded as a Covid-19 death, then he'd have been removed with the latest change.
It's detailed in Motties link at the top of the thread

And what about the thousands who were certified of having died from Covid without ever having been tested?, and the possibility that a third of all excess deaths were caused by lockdown rather than covid. Well, that's what a Doctor reckons anyway, but what would he know?

Hospital deaths have always required positive tests.

What would he know? Annecdotes, this is why we invented statisticians. If you wanted to know what the status of Covid stats are then ONS would be a good place to look. RT isn't exactly a trustworthy source at the best of times.

We will never learn the 'facts'...

Because there will no doubt be a lengthy and expensive 'inquiry' that doesn't have the scope to ask the relevant questions...

And the final statement will say that 'lessons will be learned', but won't point out what that is in relation to...

There may be a lowly scape goat...
(goebbels has already set the 'led by science' stance in stone)

But the 'establishment' always looks after it's own!

Never thought I say this, but I agree with you on this

Yeah, he's a doctor so he's probably got less statistics training, education or use than I have.

Which is to say, not enough to be anywhere near an expert
