No diplomatic status for Eu!

That's in line with the current regulations. The regulations don't change depending on the size of the consignment.

A ham sandwich is hardly going to be sold on the black market, and to so so within days of the new rules coming into effect, it was pettiness at it's optimum.

It's also in the rules that by and large the EU is not a country and therefore the UK do not have to see them as official diplomats.

Funny how Himmy only addressed two of the three posts, omitting @sxturbo 's one about the EU assuming the rule of a nation state now.

But, only to be expected from someone so disingenuous.

i am in agreement with the uk tbh, the european is supposed to be just a buying group for want of a better description, and to be a part of that buying group you must adhere to their rules and stipulations.

unless the eu have finally agreed they are in fact now a country and france and germany etc are just states....

Germany is owed a Trillion by the southern EU countries which it knows it will never get back, I used to be of the opinion that the eurozone would probably survive, Germany needs it to survive, by jettisoning the southern eu countries.
Now I'm not so sure.
Foreign investors are becoming nervous about the euro because it's not a nation state currency, and the realisation that the whole project is propped up by an insolvent bank buying the bonds of an insolvent government.

Maybe that's why they had to sign the investment pact with China. Sleepy Joe's not happy about that.

Funny how Brigadier only makes one comment, and that to be abusive.
Maybe he's only capable of being abusive and has no other worthwhile contribution to make.

This is just foolish entertainer Buffoon having a bit of fun by being silly. his supporters will love it.

It's lucky Britain does not need any friends.

Oooops.

Yes it does.

The EU is a trading block and not a single sovereign state. Is the NAFTA trading block or the recently established Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) trading block seeking diplomatic status? I think not.

The EU has full diplomatic arrangements with 142 countries.
To refuse a similar arrangement is remarkably petty and dim.

Yes they should not get diplomatic status

All they want it for is due to parking in london issues

so they can get away with not paying for parking fines ;)

Outstanding parking tickets should be dealt with by Rusty Firmin.

Do the UK representatives to EU, NATO, UN, UNESCO, etc enjoy diplomatic privileges?

This is an aggressive policy by the UK aimed at reducing the standing of the EU on the world stage.
The EU presently has eleven Special Representatives (EUSRs) in different regions of the world. These exist to support the work of Javier Solana as EU High Representative in the regions concerned. Their mission is to “play an important role in the development of a stronger and more effective EU Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP) and in the EU's efforts to become a more active, more coherent and more capable actor on the world stage. They provide the EU with an active political presence in key countries and regions, acting as a ‘voice’ and ‘face’ for the EU and its policies.”
...
But with the expansion of the EU since 2004, the EU now represents 27 out of the 43 states of the European regional group. In this situation, the logical next step is to formally adopt one single voice, and the Commission is already formally acquiring just that very authority in UN institutions.

It was not enough for BJ to exit the EU, he is now enacting an aggressive policy against it.
