Why is Land-Rover still such an unreliable marque ?

Hells bells mate I hope all of these replacements came under warranty!
I have to say these are lovely looking vehicles but with issues like this I have to question the build quality and I couldn’t bring myself to buy one.

I think the earlier 2.2 diesels with six speed boxes are bulletproof compared to the ingenium engined 9 speed models. Basically a Freelander 2 in a posh frock!

Couldn’t possibly have been a Freelander 2 with a K series engine!
Apart from an electrical glitch just after buying it which was done under warranty, the only thing that’s gone wrong on our Evoque in the 5 and a but years of ownership is one door handle. If I was buying another, I certainly wouldn’t get one with an ingenium Diesel engine. Petrol only.

Good point, it was a freelander, not the freelander 2.

All under warranty except the turbo.

the dealership had our car for 4 months trying to fix it and lent us a discovery whilst they kept trying new bits to fix a weird squealing sound at low speed.

to be fair, except for the turbo, it’s been fine since it’s been out of warranty.
