The writing isn't on the wall, I doubt this vaccine debacle will change very much.

There is growing unrest in the union from some countries, but overall the majority still wants it to work, and with every treaty revision they become more and more inter twined, at some point they will be so far in they cannot leave.

The biggest thing that's keeping them all together is the euro. If a country left and took to it's old currency it's highly likely that inflation will rocket and a deep recession will occur.

We used to work for a guy (one of the managers of the estates dept for a major UK bank) who used to fek stuff up (mainly, lack of planning and foresight of projects), cover his tracks, then loudly and theatrically bowl in and "sort" the issue. To great fanfare, self-aggrandisement, and praise from those he'd intentionally kept in the dark.
