There is no defending this total screw up unless you plan to be Bojo next mistress and want to be in his good books.

If bojo had balls he would have put India on the Red List sooner.
You should change your name to SirHindsight although in this case, you could be right. Mind you, even a blind squirrel will dig up a nut every now and then.

Another poor excuse. Anyone with half a brain was saying why India isn't on the Red list. No hindsight needed - if that is your go to excuse - you are lost down the rabbit hole.

You can't turn around and say you have any morals when you are clearly defending an indefensible position. Look at yourself.

India should have been put on a red list when this covid caper kicked off

they have a border with China

any country with a land border with China should have been on the red list at the start of this pandemic

could there be reasons he didnt shut them down sooner?

but yeah india would have been on my red list right from the start.

If a European country had overall -
one third of the cases per million,
one sixth of the deaths per million and
yesterday less than half the new cases per million of the UK would it be on the red list?

Only reason why he did not do it was a planned trip to india to secure a non-existent trade deal, when the virus was rampant there, he was still hoping to go and sign a deal (which India was not gonna sign anyway due to UK not relaxing visa rules).

Possibly he also did not want to upset Indians going to Kumb Mela Pilgrimmage between 1st and 17th April. It was no surpise that India peak cases came right after the Kumb Mela.

Concerns about the health of the Ganges river in India have existed for some time. Now a new environmental crisis is looming for the country’s most important water source, due to Covid.
