yes providing it had a V8 ??
It think many of the original ones were flathead fours. But I still think they look cool:

With that amount of bonnet there's no reason why you wouldn't be able to shoe horn a small block Buick V8 (aka Rover 3500) or even a Ford V8 (4.2 or 4.7 out of a Mustang mk.1 or 2) in there

There was a guy (tradesman) parking out at the back of one of the Network Rail offices at Manchester this summer who had a pale green van which might have been an F100/F150 of that period or possibly a similar period Chevy. Either way it was cool

It always makes me laugh when I hear pro gun Americans say “you cannot amend the 2nd amendment”
The Second Amendment actually reads, "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." - so at a time when the fledgling United States had no standing army, only a militia, it allowed Americans to take up arms for "the security of the state". I don't see anything in there about it being a constitutional right to carry a gun at other times. Despite having once had a shotgun licence (I lived in a place where I had shooting rights) I'm not keen on extending the rights to possess or own guns here - there are too many nutters and vigilantes out there who would not know how to behave responsibly with a gun (like in the USA, I suppose)

Yes but the majority of people and lawmakers see it otherwise. Do you seriously think that the American Constitution should be re-written because an English bloke on a DIY forum sees it differently.

it’s surprising what some of these old commercial vehicles are now worth and they are very rare tbh

Mk1 escort vans there are only 11 reg on the uk roads

Mk 1 transits if you can find one

No, but I know a number of Americans (family members, mainly) who are of the opinion that the interpretation of the Second Amendment is wrong. There are an ever increasing number of people in America with a similar view

Bloody hell - I had a mk.1 Transit with the "pig snout" (diesel) at one time. Absolute rot box. That would be a "classic"?

For @transam - found a couple of pics of that green Yank van I saw near Picc station

BTW, that red Ford in an earlier post was a V-8 (says it on the grille )

That's the thing really, it shouldn't be open to misinterpretation, they need laws similar to ours, it won't happen though, sadly.

Years ago, first day I was in California, there was a news report about a little girl, about 5 or 6 years old who had been shot dead at school by a little boy in the same class. She was apparently staying at her grand parents house and had found a "Saturday night special" in the bedside cabinet of her grandpa. It was loaded, but she thought it was a toy and took it to school and was playing with it in the playground with her friend. Somehow he managed to turn the safety off, then he shot her. A tragic accident. Such accidents are everyday occurrences which don't get further than a mention on the local radio news - and one reason I detest the pro-gun lobby

everything slips from the news…..that’s the point of news, it’s current

There's slipping from the news and there's being swept under the carpet.

The news we are presented with is propaganda, not news. The two attacks are very current and are the sharp end of the islamic invasion of Britain.

All I suggest, Andy, is that you keep away from, oh, Preston, Blackburn, Colne, Bradford, Dewsbury, Oldham, Rochdale, etc. You wouldn't like them...

Andy11 is deluded, and he is blatantly racist.
