Replacement for Dimplex RX010006 Dual Zone Programmer

Hello everyone,

I am trying to figure out, with no success, what would be a possible replacement for a Dimplex RX010006 Dual Zone with Pilot Wire programmer (which seems impossible to find as a replacement) and I was hoping someone here could point me in the right direction.

I was looking at a CentaurPlus C17 or C27 but I'm not really sure if any of those would work, plus I'm terrible at this things so an in-place replacement that would require any re-wiring would be the ideal solution.

I've uploaded the schema of my current connections.

Any help would be really appreciated :) Thank you all!

And this is the RX010006 that was on the wall and I'm trying to replace:

Chris I think that's the pilot wire interface what I'm trying to replace is the programmer that switches on and off the heaters on timer depending on the day.

Thanks both for the replies ;)

Hi Ian, that looks very promising, thanks for sharing!
Unfortunately seems to be out-of-stock everywhere :(
Any idea where I could get one in UK?

Thanks again for the suggestion :)

with the ones I have linked above, you can use the single channel if both heaters are to have the same schedule, but if you want individual schedules you can use the 4 channel and only connect 2

I was looking at a CentaurPlus C17 or C27
The C27 or any other 2 channel would also work, would just show that zone 1 was HW on the display and zone 2 would show as CH, would still work though

Ian you are a star (y)!!!

To be honest I don't need 2 zones but does that mean I need to bridge the 2 pilot wires and connect them both to CH1?

I may end up going with one of the CentaurPlus either the 17 or the 27 then just because I could get it on Amazon and they have a great return policy in case I can't get it working.

Again a massive thank you!

yes simply put both pilot wires in the same terminal, they are simply switching wires that tell the heaters to come on, the heaters have their own power supply for actually heating up.

just go with the 17 then if you are happy that the heaters come on at the same time, the 17 means 1 zone 7 days control the 27 means 2 zones 7 days control when you chose whichever one you want, come back and I will tell you how to wire it to your existing set up, nothing hard in doing it

C17 it is then (even cheaper)! I'm beyond grateful, I'll let you know how it goes!

Thanks again and have a wonderful weekend :)
OK with the C17 couldnt be easier

L&N from existing to L&N on the C17

Make a link between L & 2 (com) on the C17

Put both pilot wires into 4 (on) on the C 17 job done as simple as that

Awesome, should be here next week, I'll let you know how it goes :)

Hi Ian, the C17 arrived and it's all up and running thanks to you :)

The only difference was the 2 pilot wires for some reason had to go on the 3rd channel instead of the 4th.
When they were on the 4th the on/off would be inverted, so when the heaters were supposed to be off program-wise they would be on and vice versa.

Also, and this could be me wrongly remembering how the old Dimplex programmer used to work, when I set them to off from the programmer the heaters will go in night mode instead of turning off, as I said this is probably how they worked with the old programmer as well.

Just wanted to say a MASSIVE thank you for all the help and support you have given me, I wouldn't have a brand new programmer installed without you :)
