First, I was taken off the list of patients at the Leg Ulcer Clinic, being told there were patients who needed the service and I was "preventing them access".

Then I was discharged from Weight Management Services and transferred to a private service. I filled in loads of online forms and was promised a contact. But I haven't heard bugger all. No doubt they have charged the NHS for doing bugger all.

Now, I try to contact Orthotics and all I get is a recorded telephone message saying, "The office is now closed. It is open between 9 and 6."

I always ring between those hours.

Sorry to hear about your woes

Call PALS and tell them re phones not being manded and your other concerns.

We has a consultants secretary that could never be contacted and would never ever call back when massages let with others. We were reluctanct to cotnact PALS thinking they must be PALS lol but PALS did the trick within 24 hours the consultants secretary was like a good professional whcih she should have been in the firs tinstance

We kept the complaint brief and factual

Thanks

No worrie, give them a call but not a joke they/PALS closes about 4-sih but if you speak to a half-decent person, they were helpful and btw, I've heard others say that as well.

Always take the name of the person or a ref number to chase them up but I did not need to

Good luck

Key word there is 'private'...

All part of the plan to take advantage of the 'virus' situation ;)

84 year old mother phoned and spoke to doctor on 6th dec about her knee
he seen her on the 7th
on the 9th she saw consultant who said i will get you in on 15th of feb for new knee
That then got cancelled and she actually got in on 11th of feb
not bad at all for an nhs in crisis

NHS paying for private healthcare perchance?

There is poor service in many industries lately; covid has given many an excuse to take it easy. None more so than public employees.

Hope you all get your ailments seen to soon.
