Hi folks.

Posted a while back about the flashing on my garage roof which is split and leaking. It's an oil fired boiler flue. I've tried to seal it up with gutter sealant which worked temporarily but after a few heat cycles it goes again.

Some forum users gave great suggestions on replacing it, I'm just totally unsure where to order a replacement from and not sure I have the confidence to do it myself yet, I plan to ring that roofing superstore see if they can help, can anyone else suggest. It's 125mm diameter I believe. Also I think the cap is riveted and afraid to remove it as I may not be able to re attach it

A roofing company has quoted £140 fitted which I need to save up if going this route.

Can anyone suggest a silicone or sealant to seal it up with in the mean time to stop it dripping? Images to big to upload directly, as always the help is much appreciated.

I think this dektite one maybe retrofit, ie it can be split and positioned around the flue.

Bargain - go for it.
I live in NI so things are generally a bit cheaper here than UK.

It's not expensive, it's just expensive to me as I don't have a lot of money hence trying to DIY everything. It will be a couple of months before I can afford it.

You have already made it on to the roof, why not replace it yourself?

You could flashband it...... However this will cause a headache when you try to fix it properly!

I've done some Roofing on my garage, refelted half way down as the old undersarking was falling away and added a dry ridge and cemented the verges but I'm not sure what I'm doing with this flashing there are so many options and I'm so confused.

I cna get up to the roof easily and I have a ladder, the pitch isn't very steep on it.

Quite overwhelmed with this and just don't have the spare money to book a professional at the moment.

The one Notch posted seems a good fit. Measure the tile and make sure it will work...?
