Nicest was Geoff Hamilton.

Coincidentally the most miserable bad tempered was another celebrity gardener. Right nasty, she was.

I built an orangery for a Tory MP, he was a nice guy. Not really a celeb though.

I did see Demi Moore once in Toronto, she came into a shop where a mate was working and I was stood chatting to him at the time.

When I first met the previous Mrs Lard she was HUGE Human League fan. One of my mates at the time ran a specific model motorbike owners club & the lead singer was a regular attendee on run outs. Phone calls were made & many favours promised & sworn until one weekend we joined them on a run around the Peak district. We made several brief stops where keeping the helmets on was normal & he'd wombled over to have a bit of banter totally unrecognised, then we stopped for lunch & my missus's legs went . . . .

Michael Palin is a very nice chat, had a longish chat with him and his producer about his travels in Brazil, following a talk at a small exclusive event at Kings College.

Have never met a nasty celeb. Did dine in the same restaurant as Rory McGrath once, and he looked very miserable. Jonathan Ross pulled up on a rickshaw, looked in, saw how glum Rory looked, and drove(?) off.
