UK inflation 80% caused by brexit

Exploited? The wage on offer is the same for UK bods as it is for migrants.. It's up to the individual to decide where or how they live and how to spend their hard earned.
It ain’t now a lot of 'em have all gone home. They came over here, worked for a lot less than UK workers, pulled the daily rate down by living 10 to a house and people like you were keen to go along with it under the guise of being a good europhile.

Interesting snippet:

The claim: Immigration has held down wages in the UK. Reality Check verdict: Current research suggests there was a small, negative impact on the wages of low-skilled workers, which was outweighed by other factors such as the impact of the financial crisis and rises in the minimum wage.

The person you quoted - confusing different aspects.

Workers on ships confused with working in UK caused comments like dragging rates down. Some leaving causes a shortage in some areas that were not paid the minimum wage. Shortages of that sort usually cause pay increases. Pay increases cause inflation.

To many workers in a particular field tends to keep wages fairly static - cost of living type increases. That depends on what makes up a cost of living index. Just enough people has the same effect. A company isn't a charity. They will pay at the lowest level they can get away with.

The min wage just does that - sets one.

Says who? How they choose to live is irrelevant.
Says me. How they live is not a choice, it’s a necessity unless they want to spend a large proportion of their wages on individual accommodation which defeats the object of coming over here to earn money to send home.

exploited

I agree that workers'rights should be protected, and minimum pay enforced.

Sadly the nation has endured twelve years of tory misrule so it will take time, and the will, to treat ordinary people fairly.

Can you imagine, some people voted for a party that cheered when they blocked the possibility of a pay rise for nurses and other public servants?

In other news, old etonian Johnson complains that he can't get by on a salary of £160,000 plus expenses and allowances plus two homes, chauffeur driven cars, and an index-linked pension.

As I've told you, inflation is an increase in the supply of money, and only governments can increase the supply of money.

you have repeatedly passed on a story that is untrue.

inflation is increase in prices.

I'd be interested to see you try to define what you think "money supply" is.

So you’re saying that without Brexit the UK would be looking at 1% annual inflation compared to an average of 7.8% inflation that’s occurring in the rest of Europe? Pull the other one.

….at moving to Gatwick and living 10 to a house to keep aviation moving? That’s the problem with remainers - they try to come over all saintly and pro-European but in reality, they don't give a flying **** how those exploited eueropeans are treated as long as they can get cheap flights/building works/service in a restaurant/floors and toilets cleaned etc etc.
How are they exploited, the employment laws of this country are the same for foreigners as English.

are you saying our employment laws are weak
or are you saying they aren’t enforced properly

No Andy.

brexit has meant an increase in trade barriers
trade barriers cost money
more cost makes things dearer
dearer means inflation

fork all to do with increase in supply of money

Actually when figures was quoted France's was rather lower than others - probably energy related.. Germany from memory a bit lower than ours.

The money supply is an odd area - there are only so many electronic pound notes could be one way of putting. Not easy to find out how it works. In real terms value is what the money market chooses to pay for it. Biggest laugh is that when the cost of just about everything increases so does GDP. It's surprising what has gone up in recent years.

An interesting plot to compare with key dates including joining the EU - also the banking crisis and other "things"

No gov could do anything about the banking crisis.

17,410,742 voted for Brexit. Gosh, that’s a lot of uneducated racists knocking about! It’s a wonder johhny Foreigner still wants to come here!
Again Mottie... Don't cook half baked truths and sell here... Go back and read what i have said... Do some research what tories have done to the visa system now.
And If that is what the numbers tell you, they all fall into either one of the other or everything -
Uneducated
Rascists
No common sense

AND you are very fortunate to be everything - uneducated, someone with zero common sense, hard core liar, someone who make a living by spreading false information and a rascist. Luckily Trump didn't win the US election. If that happened, Boris was so close to getting rid of NHS...

motorbiking:

Sir K seems to be doing a wonderful job in the polls too..
36% think he is untrustworthy
39% dislike
41% indecisive
43% think he's weak.

and despite having done nothing wrong, apparently 32% think he should stand down.

Mr Bean had better ratings.
Another way to cook and sell half baked information. Reverse the information and read it and you will know what the data says. Everytime something positive comes about Kier Starmer, the next week you will see a poll rating which will be dismissive of the Starmer rating. Don't ask me how.. that is how polls are framed.
In my personal opinion, these are not bad numbers.

That's the one's, them who took Covid money from our government, then sacked all the staff, and at the last minute tried recruiting staff at a much lower wage.

Oops.
And Bo Jo adds these numbers to tell in parliament that record number of people have got their jobs back :)...

Well spotted, and employers are well aware that if they pay below a certain level, universal credit kicks in to top it up.
