I watched Ben Fogle's Lost Worlds last night, the episode was about troubles in Cyprus which I knew nothing of. Found it quite interesting. My two main thoughts on watching the prog were 1. why can't humankind just live in peace and 2. any reasonable country would welcome in a portion of refugees from this sort of situation.

That's not what we're seeing with many of the boat people coming in to the UK, especially the Albania situation. It's verging on becoming farcical. And whether the lefty tree-huggers want to admit it or not, a % of those coming in will be less than desirable.
