Brexit support now just 32%

Unfortunately this will always be the way with any significant change that a large percentage didn't want. It's understandable that if we're directly affected by a change (and if not for the better in our eyes) we won't be happy with said change.

Some of you will know what I'm now going to say. This is my concern if a second Scottish referendum is granted. It's highly unlikely to be 80/20 in favour, will likely be +/- 5% from 50/50. This means, regardless of the result, a significant portion of voters would be left feeling disappointed, frustrated, angry, sad etc.

Significant change = winners and losers. We'll never escape from that fact.
Then there ought to be a minimum majority specified to carry the motion. E.g. 55/45, 60/40, etc. Whatever is decided. Rather than relying on a simple minimal majority.

The latest poll by YouGov seems to be saying that Brexiteers are very much in the minority with 20% of Leave voters now thinking it was the wrong decision. Does that mean that the hard-nosed Brexiteers will now start to admit they might just have got it wrong? Peter Kellner, former president of YouGov has also stated that about 2 million Leave voters have died since 2016 (see the Kay Burley interview on Sky). Maybe these converts have realised that the cheaper food we would see immediately, the £350m that would go into the NHS, the faster appointments at GPs and so forth were all just lies and that they were sold a pup

Who cares

Nowt to be done about it

Unless you have a viable suggestion or answer to the caper

Which I doubt :ROFLMAO:

Well mottie/motman/whatever his name gave up his alleged villa and he's still drinking wine at breakfast...

That might be one reason why the number of Brexers is declining

What was the percentage required in the original EEC accession vote?

Plenty to be done about it, fruitbun.

I have a solution, but you won't like it, although both the CBI and FSB will - far closer alignment.with the EU and either rejoin or at the very least come to a far closer relationship with the EU because what we have now doesn't work, and can't be made to work. Ever!

Fancy a wager on which way this is going to play out?

There should have been. But some Camoron didn't bother.

Well go on come up with your solution oh hang on us that it

Jeez us wept

The UK will not be rejoining any time soon that’s a dead cert

So looks like you will continue to whinge :ROFLMAO:

The UK will not be rejoining any time soon
Of course.

It will take some years before the UK is ready to re-apply

And probably longer before the rest of Europe is ready to trust a nation that has allowed itself to be led by dishonest, lying, untrustworthy buffoons, willing to renege on international treaties.

Remember that Ireland, for example, will have a veto. And UK will not be allowed to join if it has an unresolved territoreal dispute with any EU member, such as, for example, Spain.

In the meantime, we need sensible adults capable of making the best of the clusterflick caused by Brexers.

As for the 32%

Public opinion changes on a whim
