Did I hear France has higher standards of living than uk??? :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
Speak to any frog and they'll tell you why they're here.
of all the nationalities living in uk, I don't see or know of many French

The 2011 UK Census recorded 137,862 French-born people living in the UK. Almost half of these were resident in the capital, London. Many more British people have French ancestry.

French remains the foreign language most learned by Britons. It has traditionally been spoken as a second language by the country's educated classes and its popularity is reinforced by the close geographical proximity between Great Britain and France.

Included Oxford and the South East too

But didn't match census figures either.

You seem to believe everything that comes out of Johnsons mouth. Most thinking people do the opposite

Moving the goalposts now notchy. It's bad enough with one contrairian on thwarting discussion without you joining in.
The fact of the matter is employers can bypass the red tape involved in employing people directly.
whataboutery and incorrect.

you said: “For gross misconduct but have right of reply”

that is incorrect.

Lucky you!

That's 137,862 too many.

I've dealt with posh rich b@stards with private education all my life and only one of them spoke french due to his Mauritius origins.
You're probably referring to the gone by times where aristocracy still existed.

Food banks - everyone's at it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Food_bank#Europe

The UK's lowest income households are 20% poorer than their equivalent in France that ties up with other figs here.

EU Minimum wages: A good table but UK is missed off. You can calculate it from your choice of minimum wage or living wage, and number of worked hours per month you choose. We'd definitely be in Group 1 though. £9.5 x 88 = £1672/month

MINIMUM AND AVERAGE WAGES IN EUROPE has errors- uk rate shown is per hour. You have to do some sums but it shows UK average to minimum is not high, compared with others. Germany works out at 4.7:1 if you use 88 hours/month, UK 1.5:1. France and Spain are also higher ratio than UK.

THE MOST EXPENSIVE COUNTRIES IN THE WORLD surprisingly perhaps, Fr Ger UK aren't in the top 10.
Cost of Living in European CITIES shows it matters - see who is 47th. UK/France overlap a lot.

No prejudice there then ! I believe you said you are an immigrant too? Some immigrants are better than others do you mean? Why not treat everybody as an individual? Like them or not on a personal basis

I wasn't referring to gone by times, I was merely showing the Wiki page, a reliable estimate of figures.

But none of this is relevant to the price or amount of tomatoes or other fruit and veg on shops shelves

Don't you love those statistics...???

Likely to be more accurate than Johnsons comments
They're all made up numbers.
Go to any of the countries named there and tell the workers that they earn more than us in UK.
They'll probably beat you up.
There are many ways to massage figures and if you don't understand that, there's no chance that anyone could ever make you understand that.

Ok, so let's call your bluff shall we...

This will of course require empirical statistics from you...
(that's a big word for you so you'll probably have to look it up ;))

Namely as to why your fruit and veg from 'abroad is now 'cheaper than it's ever been as opposed to everyone else in the UK...

You will of course have to clarify as to what you mean by 'from abroad' (namely telling us the countries you are purchasing from), and how you have calculated your 'fruit and veg cheaper than ever prices' claim with a historical timeline of said prices and quote said prices from multiple retail sources....

It's over to you mottie/motman!
How many times do I have to tell you - stop asking questions until you start answering them. Blimey, you really are as thick as mince. You don’t seem to grasp the meaning of the word 'reciprocal' do you? Oops, sorry, that’s another question. Please ignore it like you do all others. ;)
