Well fund the police to allow that to happen!

Now he's onto demonising trans genders.

He's cancelled HS2 from Birmingham and is re investing in other transport schemes.

Blup

Rishi claimed his family went from penniless immigrants to PM in 2 generations.

His Mother trained in UK, as a Pharmacist in the 60's.
His Father trained in the UK as a pharmacist and as a doctor in the 60's.
The 60's was predominantly a Labour government.

Who paid for that training? The tax man.

I'm not taking anything away from his parents' achievements. They've demonstrated what education can do, and what free education helps to achieve. But it was the UK taxman that paid for their eduication. Taxes that their parents had not contributed to.

I've no doubt that they've repaid their dues to society since, but their education was pad for upfront, by the taxman, with no strings attached.

He married a billionaire and he is of the pull the ladder up after yourself brigade.

Yes his wife was a non dom - I like England but not enough to pay taxes it seems.

The problem occurs when plod have policies of what they will and won’t investigate. The crims target these low priorities. It’s not funding it’s letting the police know they are no longer trusted to set priorities. We don’t want to go back to silly targets and pointless KPIs but they do need to focus on what is important.

Of course we could help by not creating stupid laws that criminalise behaviour that shouldn’t be criminalised or having police investigate non-crimes spending too much time policing thought and being political.

How do they know if a crime is committed or not until they investigate ?

Or are you suggesting just different prorities

they ask questions when it is reported.

It’s how for example they can tell the difference between an attempted theft and a lawful recovery of property (e.g the man from the hire company repossessing the courtesy car that someone won’t give back until his is fixed by the dealer).

At the moment they will not investigate shoplifting for example.

I don’t know when you last reported a crime, but you get triaged, based on the information you provide.

If the answers you give don’t match the priority, or if it sounds like a civil dispute, they will not investigate. That is not to say the priority will be low, specifically they will not investigate.

So it's just reacting on a priority basis

All it means is either those priorities suit you or they don't.

I prefer more actual policing, but that needs taxes.

You cannot say you reacted on priority basis if your policy is to NFA certain crimes.

So is that a blanket no investigation of shoplifting? What happens if that involves damage to property or assault?

Toss up between investigating Lawrence Fox's place or who owns the property or assault of the person involved.
Lawrence Fox place wins out?
