Rishi says every crime should be investigated

Toss up between investigating Lawrence Fox's place or who owns the property or assault of the person involved.
Lawrence Fox place wins out?

So he has been arrested for property damage?

Isn't that what you want? I want more vandals arrested.

Has he been arrested?

Laurence Fox is arrested on suspicion of 'conspiring to damage ULEZ cameras' after uploading video of police searching his home - and sacked from GB News

He will enjoy his day in court then, he will go to court won't he.

Based on what is reportedly the grounds for arrest, don’t hold your breath. There must be more to this beyond being arrested for posting support on X.

Conspiracy requires an agreement to act between 2 or more people.

Shades of Russel Brand then, ruin them without having to press charges.

Totally different.

1 continues to state his innocence.

1 says..

'I encourage them [Blade Runners] to tear down every single camera there is and I will be joining them to tear down cameras as well, because I'm one of those people that puts my money where my mouth is.'

Mr Fox added he was 'pretty close with several' Blade Runners - a secretive group behind acts of Ulez camera vandalism - and that he would be 'out there with my angle grinder'.

Well that is more like incitement. Well it actually is.

They will need a bit more to find who he has encouraged. The nail is boasting that he is in close contact. A bit stupid to post that.

Bit like Brand in all probability yesterday's chip papers.
On the other hand if they can make charges stick then an example could be made of him to dissuade others who wish to destroy cameras.

I don't really know much about him, but I suspect they will be probing him deeply to squeal on his mates.

If he is breaking the law, or encouraging others to do, and causing increased costs too, surely he should be held to account.

Unless you think it's OK to support criminality

Wouldn't put it past plod to arrest for conspiracy on the basis of one suspect, but quite right to investigate. Almost as many officers as for that sycamore tree.

Blup

The problem occurs when plod have policies of what they will and won’t investigate.
Why do you think they have to set some priorities?
Because there's not enough funding to investigate them all, of course.

So Rishi thinks the police should investigate all crimes, but he won't give them enough funding to do that.
So who do we blame for the police not investigating some crimes?

A policy not to investigate is not the same thing as having priorities. Criminals know that they can shoplift with impunity up to a certain value.

Tax payers money is not infinite, spending money is not the only solution. If you spent much time working with plod, you'd realise there are many many problems, that are not about spending money.
