What have you been doing today?

I'm going to see the doc later about this cough I've still got, more than a week later. I'll have a word about my misbehaving prostate. Sometimes it causes me absolute misery with restricted flow, sometimes I wait a few seconds before starting and at its worst, it feels like I have an infection, with urgency followed by a few dribbles.

It's a complete PIA!

That's what my coffee machine does if I've not got the right grind

I can remember years ago. as a small boy, literally having pìssing up the wall competitions with my mates. I could pìss higher than my head. Nowdays it’s more like a case of relax and let gravity do its job. :ROFLMAO:

I'd be happy with that, as long as I got some capacity back.

I used to be able to hang on until my bladder held around a pint and a half, but it's now at the stage where I'm getting up at night up to 8 times, dribbling a bit each time.

Today I’ve been 'Topped and Tailed’. Dentists first for a check over and then an ultrasonic clean and polish then the chiropodists. A few corns removed and I feel like I’ve gone down half a shoe size! Luxury. :giggle:

I lost my Dad in 2019.
Mum is still with us at 87 and a marvel.
I can't imagine the world without her.
She jokes, "Die? It'll be the last thing I do!"
She says her perfect death would be going for a walk on a beautiful Summer's day, going over a 5 bar gate and dying instantly halfway over.
Her nightmare is dementia, not knowing who she is or what she is doing.

Dementia hit my Gran. She used to see me when I visited the care home.
"Well, you've got a very kind face, but I don't know who you are..."
Or things like "I've done a dreadful thing!"
"What's that, Gran?"
"I've left a leg of lamb in the oven and it'll be ruined."

The awful thing about dementia is that you lose them once while they are still alive and lose them again when they die.

Bastards! Just went out to feed the birds and noticed seed everywhere in my shed. Rats have bitten a hole in it and got in there, eating the seed. Looks like they have been doing it for a while too. I half suspected it as I had some of those half filled coconut shells that I hung on the shed and the whole things were going missing - I thought it was a fox but the other night when I let the dog out, I heard a noise, saw a movement and the shell was swinging as if something had been disturbed eating it and birds don’t feed at 11.00 at night! Mrs Mottie will go ape shìt if she even sees a sign of a rat. I have some repairing to do when I get back later.

Edit: Do you think it best if I clear the food out and leave it for a while so that they can see there’s no food in there - I’m thinking if I just block it up they will still think there’s food in there and chew through it again?

Bait some traps, and kill the b@st@rds.

Alternatively though, as a pensioner with time on his hands, get an air rifle, and bide your time......... ;)
