Busy day, seeing as the weather has been fit....
Taking out the back door's multipoint lock, to just check the gearbox is at fault, it was - and ordering up a replacement.
I'd moved the old Rascal scooter out to the summerhouse, so the new Gravis, could use its space in the hut. The hut access is a little narrow, and involves a lot of shunting back and forth, to do the U turn in, and back out, so I decided the part of my workshop, specially built with a nice wide door, able to store my motorbike, would be a much better/ easier place to store it. Straight in, lots of space, reverse out, onto a nice wide drive. Problem was, I'd built lots of shelves in the area, since I got rid of the bike.
I spent much of the day, clearing the shelves, trying find alternate homes for their content, and dropping the shelving out of the way.
To gain access to the door, blocked by the trailer I'd used last weekend to collect the Gravis mobility scooter. I needed to shunt the caravan forward 10 feet, to move the trailer back where I store that, behind the caravan. I switched the caravan mover on, and got the same error code I got last week, trying to move the caravan. What fixed it last time, was a new set of batteries in the remote, so I tried that, and no change. Began wondering if it might be the leisure battery on its way out, so I dug out my ancient spare, car battery, and some jump leads. That worked, so I swapped batteries over, got the caravan moved, and the trailer back where it belongs.
The Gravis is now parked in my workshop, with power right next to it, for charging.
