I think we're straying into the movie 'Contact' again, where the scientist asks for proof of God and Jodie Foster tries to convince him of her trip through the wormhole that lasted hours for her but only a second or two back on earth: to observers it appeared she hadn't gone anywhere yet she knew the experience was real.
Proof, in that case, becomes a subjective perception.

oh yeah of course a major in the US airforce would not be able to recognise a balloon or what a dead human body looked like. Mistakes like this easily happen .
