I don't care what star rating the hotel is, the question is this, is it secure? Do we know who is in this hotel? It should be a detention centre and not a free to walk about hotel where they are free to come and go.

Obviously. Although, as discussed in this thread previously, that is by choice. France would give a very similar package of support to the one we provide if these people applied. Which adds to the mystery of why they want to come here so badly.

I was flagging a weird sounding website for others who might not have noticed. I thought that was a friendly thing to do. I'm not going to visit a website I am not sure of on my main work computer.

Do you have any other examples where I "undermine" people's posts? Usually the undermining seems to be aimed at me even though I always quote extremely reputable mainstream sources.

It is definitely costing a huge amount of money which most of us would rather be spent on something else. At the moment it comes out of the foreign aid budget. Which means we get to send less money abroad to help people in poor areas.
